“COUNSELING SAVES LIVES”

PLEDGE DRIVE 2020

Mental health is the number one health crisis in Volusia County. When people do not have access to professional, affordable, and evidence based counseling: Individuals suffer. Families suffer. Businesses suffer.

People like you make it possible for Open Doors Counseling Network to serve your friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers.

• Open Doors Counseling Network provides over 1,050 counseling sessions each month, 90% of those sessions discounted.

• 14% of the sessions we provide each month are pro bono to clients. In 2019, through August, that represented more than $86,000.00 in free counseling.

• Combat veterans and their family members (parents, children, spouses, and ex-spouses) are offered free counseling.

With your assistance we help individuals overcome childhood sexual abuse. One in 5 girls, and 1 in 20 boys, are sexually abused before the age of eighteen. Many adults who were abused as children come to us for help with anxiety, depression, or traumatic stress. Counseling helps them overcome past abuse and lead happier lives.

With your assistance we help families stay together.  Children from divorced families are more likely to experience physical injury, 2x more likely to attempt suicide, 2x more likely to drop out of high school, and 3x more likely to need mental health services. When we fight to keep marriages intact, we are fighting for children.

With your assistance we help teenage moms finish high school. Open Doors Counseling Network is partnered with The Chiles Academy to provide trauma recovery to teenage moms still in high school and still raising their children at home. Helping teenage moms has a compounded benefit and helps everyone in the community.

Without your help many individuals and families have nowhere else to turn. Please go to our DONATE page and become a monthly supporter. Any amount helps, and you will be saving a life.

You can help us save a life or a family.

Poor access to mental health counseling is the number one health crisis in Volusia County. Individuals suffer, families suffer, businesses suffer, and we all suffer when our neighbors and fellow citizens cannot afford counseling services. Last year Open Doors Counseling Network was able to provide over 12,600 affordable counseling sessions because of generous support from people like you. Please donate today. Without your support many people cannot get the help they need.

Cost
is the number one barrier to effective counseling.

We partner with local churches, businesses, and individuals to make counseling accessible and available to everyone in our communities. Without your financial support many families and people could not get the help they need.

Thank you for teaming up with us for a solution!
