“As a combat veteran myself, I became a counselor primarily to work with other veterans and their families. To be honest it it can be emotionally exhausting. Sometimes I see a younger version of myself sitting in front of me and I recognize in a personal way the the anger and mistrust veterans sometimes feel when they return home. But, the results are worth the hard work. Seeing a life transformed and renewed is remarkable. I love my job.”
